Twenty Nine Weddings

Twenty-9 weddings. Wow. 

The first wedding began on New Year's Day with Chelsea & Pretlow. The last of the 2015 weddings ended with Lisa & Jay's fun-tactic New Year's Eve wedding (which, in part, has me writing this post now). 

2015 has come and gone, and it was quite the year for me! The most weddings I'd ever photographed in one year was twenty-five, so to think back and see how last year's twenty-9 weddings stretched my abilities is inspiring to me. Even after several years of being a wedding photographer I still found areas I needed growth in. One area in particular I grew in unprecedentedly was becoming better at handling boiling-point-pressure situations. I look back and see when Katie & Graham had several rain showers on their wedding day. We all handled it like champs, but for me it was also a day I was pushed to remember how to take my time in coming up with the best rain game plan, be on my best supportive behavior for the couple, and still manage to pull off all the photographs they wanted without drenching all of my equipment or their clothes!
